Upcoming changes to how subsidized child care is funded in Saskatchewan are causing some providers to notify families that they can't provide spaces for their children anymore — particularly for young kids attending on a part-time or drop-in basis.

In a video address to Albertans on Thursday, May 22, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced that her government will present its own referendum question to voters — one that copies neither of the questions presented in a pair of petitions that gathered more than 700,000 signatures in recent months.
