Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd., Canada's largest mining company, announced Tuesday it will invest $2.4 billion in the redevelopment of the Hope Bay mine in the remote Arctic.
The corporation has a 25-year contract with Missouri-based ProEnergy to set up 10 natural gas turbines in a rural area in the province's southeast.
