It’s an investigation that could change how you travel. A CTV W5 exclusive is exposing how passengers are unwittingly helping traffickers move massive quantities of drugs through Canadian airports. CTV’s Avery Haines joins Kristy Cameron with the details. Later in Hour 2, we circle back to the 417 lane closures that are wreaking havoc in Ottawa’s West End. Even when all lanes are available near Woodroffe and Pinecrest, congestion is pretty common during rush-hour times of the day. However, the latest closures to allow for LRT signage installations are making driving conditions more tedious, with some motorists adding 20 to 25 minutes to their commute. Bay Ward councillor Theresa Kavanagh pays us a visit with her two cents. After 15 months of declines in Canadians travelling to the United States, new Statistics Canada data suggests the U.S. travel boycott is coming to an end. In May, Canadian return trips from the U.S. totalled 1.9 million, up 9.5 per cent from the same month in 2025 and the second consecutive month of year-over-year growth.
