5 years on, Ontario says long-term viability of federal daycare program at risk

It’s been five years since the federal government launched its plan for a $10-a-day daycare program. While the move has been described as life-changing by parents who have been able to access more affordable childcare, a dearth of spaces and jousting between levels of government over funding has left gaps in Ontario.
The federal government is planning to spend $750 million to 'drastically expand year-round Canadian production of fruits and vegetables,' Prime Minister Mark Carney said.
