Alberta man charged after more than 500,000 child sexual exploitation photos, videos seized

A man from Okotoks, Alta., faces criminal charges after police say they found more than half a million child sexual exploitation photos and videos in his possession. It's one of the largest collections the Alberta child exploitation unit has ever encountered.
Quebec's minister of public security says if the probe doesn't shed full light on the events, he won't rule out the possibility of a public inquiry.

A judge has reserved a decision on whether a transgender inmate being held at a men’s prison, Amanda Cooper, should be moved to a women’s facility. Cooper, 59, has a history of sexual offences against women in Quebec that date back to the 1980s. The crimes were committed when Cooper was living as a man.
