The Aladdin Bakery on St. Laurent Boulevard is one of two bakeries started by Ottawa's Farhat family. They take pride in being among the first to bring Lebanese savoury pies to Ottawa more than 30 years ago. Two generations later, they say it's turned into a hub of community and culture — and an example of the power of food to bring people together.
