An iconic Vancouver bookstore that won a landmark legal battle for 2SLGBTQ+ rights in Canada is being honoured with a new stamp from Canada Post.

A Canadian-American artist from Ottawa has made a 4-foot-tall beaver statue for the United States. It’s part of the Great Beaver Quest – an art installation initiative that honours the countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That statue, however, has been vandalized.
