The company behind a spaceport in Canso, Nova Scotia, is defending the project as some residents raise concerns around plans for Canada's first sovereign launch site.

The MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais police service is asking some residents to remain home on Sunday after several roads were closed due to flooding in the Saint-Pierre-de Wakefield area of Val-des-Monts, Que., including a section of Route 307.
