For months, local politicians have raised alarm bells about a controversial safe supply clinic in Chinatown. Originally called Northwood Recovery Clinic, the name was later changed to New Dawn Recovery. Somerset councillor Ariel Troster called the operation out for its practices, saying it had taken a toll on the neighbourhood. She later collaborated with Ontario MPP and former Ottawa councillor Catherine McKenney, and called on the College of Physicians and Surgeons to investigate the private addictions clinic. And today, a change in guidelines was announced. Troster reacts to those new developments in Hour 2. Meantime, the Summer holiday season is almost here. Will you be making the most of it and taking a well-deserved vacation? Maybe a simple staycation to recharge? In 2025, 40 percent of employees didn’t use their paid time off, opting instead to save their vacation days for later. Agnes Ryoo had been trying to get her moles checked out for months. The thirty-two-year-old Toronto resident is Korean Canadian, fair-skinned, and has a smattering of moles all over her body and face. “That combination, plus me being anxious, [means] I’m always afraid of what my moles could become,” Ryoo says. When her family doctor referred her to a dermatologist, she spent a lot of time online looking for clinics that would see her quickly. Just four weeks later, in August 2025, Ryoo saw a dermatologist. .entry-content > figure:nth-child(2) { display: block !important; } This...
