Police officer from Brampton killed near Hearst, Ont., remembered as ‘courageous, selfless’

An Ontario Provincial Police constable killed in the line of duty near Hearst is being remembered as a “selfless” and “courageous” officer whose death has left communities grieving, including in Brampton where he was raised and in Kitchener where he worked before joining the OPP.
Calgary police say one person was taken to hospital in unknown condition after an officer-involved shooting on Deerfoot Trail S.E. near Memorial Drive S.E. on Sunday.
