The federal government says it is cracking down on what it calls a "low volume" of asylum claims made by foreigners arriving in Newfoundland and Labrador from a nearby territory of France.
With federal workers now expected to be in the office four days a week, office space, parking and public transit remain key concerns as public service unions pledge to monitor the transition.
