The City of Ottawa is exploring a pilot program to help communities withstand extreme weather events, both before and after they hit.

A Canadian-American artist from Ottawa has made a 4-foot-tall beaver statue for the United States. It’s part of the Great Beaver Quest – an art installation initiative that honours the countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That statue, however, has been vandalized.
