Coastal B.C. waters seeing more whales, more often

Researchers say more West Coast transient killer whales are returning to waters near Vancouver, and more often, thanks to conservation efforts and reliable food supplies. There has also been an uptick in sightings of Grey and Humpback whales.

The bodies of two paramedics who died earlier this week will be brought home to P.E.I. on Friday. Mike MacKenzie and Jenna Croucher were among three people who died Tuesday in a collision in the community of Melrose, N.B., about 12 km southwest of the Confederation Bridge near Port Elgin.
