As Ottawa police workplace changes emerge, lawyer pans them as 'sideways move'

The Ottawa Police Service is making its safe workplace program more "restorative, support-focused, and member-led" instead of centering it on "formal complaints and investigations," according to a chief's report published online ahead of Monday afternoon's meeting of the Ottawa Police Service Board. But one human rights and labour lawyer who's worked with female Ottawa police officers isn't impressed.
