Delayed remediation at shuttered Edmonton chemical plant raises contamination concerns

An environmental enforcement order has been issued against a shuttered chemical plant that converted Edmonton’s residential waste into biofuel. The order was issued because of concerns about abandoned infrastructure and lingering chemical contamination on-site.
Last month, the Trump administration proposed that tariffs of 10 per cent or more be imposed on products from dozens of major trading partners after a probe into forced labour.

A Wisconsin bride landed in the hospital on her honeymoon with cyclosporiasis, a parasitic illness suspected of spreading through contaminated lettuce.
