It’s officially Summer in Ottawa! But if you’re driving anywhere in this city, you know your biggest delay will probably be caused by construction. Last month, we saw extensive lane closures on Highway 417 ahead of Pinecrest. It caused several delays, unexpected traffic jams, and problems for multiple wards. Should the municipality be doing more to communicate and coordinate road closures to minimize disruptions? College Ward councillor Laine Johnson joins guest host Chris Holski in Hour 2. A warning to our listeners that portions of Hour 2 are deeply disturbing. Two children have been found dead in a double murder-suicide, according to the Ottawa Police Service. At around 10 o’clock this morning, officers conducted a wellness check at a home on Mandevilla Crescent in Ottawa’s Findlay Creek neighbourhood.
