OC Transpo summer service begins Sunday, June 28

June 23, 2026

OC Transpo’s summer service begins Sunday, June 28, with seasonal bus schedule changes, Line 4 service adjustments, and construction related detours.

New summer schedules are available on octranspo.com. Before you travel, use the Travel Planner or Transit app to plan your trip.

Bus service adjustments
  • As part of OC Transpo’s Customer-First Action Plan, schedules are being updated to better reflect actual travel times and current staffing levels. A summer preventative maintenance program is preparing the fleet for increased ridership in September and winter operations. As a result, some routes will operate less frequently, particularly on weekends. Customers are encouraged to use the Travel Planner or Transit App before travelling.
  • Route 11 schedules will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel times, improving reliability and making service more predictable.
  • Minor schedule adjustments on Route 98 will provide more frequent Sunday morning service.

 Line 4 schedule adjustments

  • On weekends, O-Train Line 4 will operate every 24 minutes. This temporary change will help maintain reliable service for customers while staffing levels  stabilize and is expected to continue into the fall.
  •  Route 105 bus service will continue to provide an alternative connection to and from the airport.
 Seasonal service changes
  • Weekend summer service returns to popular seasonal destinations:
    • Route 8 will be extended to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum,
    • Route 125 will serve the Canada Aviation and Space Museum
    • Route 139 continues to provide weekend service to Petrie Island.

Summer weekend service on these routes will run until Labour Day, September 7.

  • 600-series school routes and school specific variants of regular routes will not operate during the summer, except for service supporting French-language school boards when classes resume in late August.
Service adjustments for construction

Road reconstruction and other infrastructure projects may cause delays, detours, and longer travel times on some routes this summer. Customers can find the latest information on detours and stop impacts on OC Transpo’s alerts page.

For more information on summer transit service visit octranspo.com or call 613-560-5000. For trip planning assistance, use OC Transpo’s Travel Planner or use the Transit app. Customers can also connect with OC Transpo on FacebookBlueskyX (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

My heart goes out to the organisers of the Canada Day festivities. This has to be a major emotional let down. I was director of events at the NCC in the 80's and I remember very well, the days prior to July 1, the great degree of anxieties we all lived through at the office. A whole year of planning, searching the country for artists and ideas — too many activities to list in this short note. We were constantly glued to the weather forecasts. So many commitments with artists, suppliers, stage managers/workers, Parliament Hill set up (no LeBreton Flats then), hundreds of volunteers etc.,...
