Tribute to Koné from fans before Canada-Switzerland match

Canada fans marching in their thousands to BC Place Stadium for the World Cup match against Switzerland have been waving No. 8 posters to honour injured Canadian midfielder Ismaël Koné, who suffered a broken leg in last week's Qatar match. Supporters were led by five flag-draped Vancouver police horses.
The Built Heritage Committee today approved the Rideau Canal Cultural Landscape Study, developed jointly by the City, the National Capital Commission (NCC) and Parks Canada.
The Study establishes a shared understanding of the area's cultural heritage value and provides a framework to guide its conservation and management.
