As Alberta pushes ahead with a fall referendum to decide whether an actual referendum on separating from Canada is worth the effort, Canada's former U.S. ambassador says she doesn't think "serious Americans" will get involved in the debate.
A Canadian-American artist from Ottawa has made a 4-foot-tall beaver statue for the United States. It’s part of the Great Beaver Quest – an art installation initiative that honours the countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That statue, however, has been vandalized.
