A Canadian-American artist from Ottawa has made a 4-foot-tall beaver statue for the United States. It’s part of the Great Beaver Quest – an art installation initiative that honours the countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That statue, however, has been vandalized. Police are ramping up efforts to find a missing 11-year-old Calgary boy. Parker, who is neurodivergent and non-verbal, was reported missing last Thursday. Police are urging residents to check their yards and sheds and for real estate agents and landlords to check empty homes.
