Cleanup efforts are underway across various portions of the National Capital Region, as a record-breaking 118 millimetres of rain drenched Ottawa on Canada Day. The unrelenting storm flooded roads and basements, and cancelled Canada Day celebrations across the city. And yes, even the highways were not immune to Mother Nature’s wrath. Bay Ward councillor Theresa Kavanagh joins guest host Chris Holski in Hour 1. Firefighters called for backup during a two-hour fight against a house fire on a residential street in Orléans late Wednesday afternoon. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation and dehydration.
