Calgary Stampede kicks off Friday with parade

Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Calgary for the annual Calgary Stampede parade. Olympic medallists Mikaël Kingsbury and Courtney Sarault were the parade marshals while Calgary-raised actor Andrew Phung was a celebrity judge.
Two boys, aged 10 and 13, are believed to have slipped into the fast-moving rapids near Sturgeon Falls Trail in Manitoba's Nutimik Lake on Saturday.
