Almost 4,500 homes across Canada’s Capital have been impacted by the Canada Day flood. Over the past few days, several local councillors and MPPs have signed an open letter, calling on the Ford government to make disaster relief funding available for affected residents. It’s called the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians – or DRAO for short. And in a news conference just now, Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe says the province is working to approve that program.
