Quebec wildfires prompt forest access ban, expansion of open fire ban

As fires are burning in northern Quebec, the Domestic Security Ministry imposed a ban on access to and traffic in forests, as well as a modification on the open fire ban.
June storms in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, along with flooding in the Montreal area, caused more than $1.1 billion in insured damage, the Insurance Bureau of Canada says.
