Thursday’s late-night fireworks display near LeBreton Flats has sparked anger and confusion in nearby residential areas. The unused fireworks from the rained-out Canada Day celebrations were handed over by the feds to Bluesfest organizers, and were intended to start the party off right. And while they only lasted for less than 15 minutes, the big pet peeve is that nearby residents weren’t notified it was happening. CTV’s Josh Marano joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 1. OTTAWA — In a little more than a month Canadians have funded nearly one-fiftieth of the financial goal to renovate 24 Sussex Drive. Prime Minister Mark Carney announced in late June a plan to redesign and rebuild 24 Sussex Dr., saying that the prime minister’s official residence is a national landmark that is now in critical condition.
