And as residents and politicians await answers from the City of Ottawa and the Ford government, patience is gradually giving way to frustration. College Ward councillor Laine Johnson tells Kristy Cameron what’s on her mind, and explains who needs to step up with solutions. Meantime, a secret fireworks show erupted after Day 1 of Bluesfest wrapped up. But not everyone was pleased – especially the nearby residents who had no idea any fireworks were going off.
