The number of opioid overdoses is rising across southern Ontario and some experts say the extreme heat could be partially to blame.
This past June, Canadian resident return trips from the U.S. equalled 1.7 million, an increase of 3.2 per cent from the same month in 2025.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he will change provincial regulations if needed after learning that an immigrant living illegally in Canada for decades has been ruled eligible for social assistance benefits from Ontario.
