The man who took a Hamilton city bus on a joy ride — with passengers still on board — is serving nine-months in jail. Though the Crown asked for a lower sentence, the man agreed to serve an extra month so he could get into a Brockville, Ont., treatment facility the judge recommended.

Almost two-thirds of Canadians disapprove of a federal plan to raise taxes on gasoline next month, according to a Leger poll shared by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF).
