Ottawa-Centre MPP Catherine McKenney argues that the modern-day extreme heat is being recognized as a public health issue more often, especially within vulnerable populations. She joins us in Hour 2. Then, we pick the brain of Glen Kenney, a UOttawa Professor and the Director of the Human and Environmental Physiology Research Unit. His team studies how the human body reacts to extreme heat, and how hot is too hot. Kenney explains why the magic number is 26 degrees Celsius.
