Another heat warning is in store for Canada’s Capital this week, and it’s not letting up for most of it. How hot are we talking? At least 30 degrees Celsius, and as much as 45 degrees if you count the Humidex. In light of the latest stretch of flood damage, not everyone has access to a working A/C right now, and many are scrambling to get it back. How busy is the HVAC sector right now? Kristy Cameron picks the brain of Tim Suitter, the co-owner of Capital City Heating and Cooling. Meantime, businesses within walking distance of Ottawa Bluesfest say the annual festival has become one of their busiest times of the year. Over at Beyond The Pale on Albert Street, customers have been dropping by for a visit before the gates open, and sometimes returning after the encore. Longtime CTV News anchor Lloyd Robertson has died at the age of 92, the network is reporting. Robertson died Tuesday night, according to his family, the network said. No cause of death was given. “A true giant. Canada has lost a broadcast legend,” said Lisa LaFlamme, his successor as CTV National News anchor, said on Instagram. “This truly is the end of an era.” Robertson retired in 2016, after a long career that began at a radio station in Stratford, Ont,, his hometown, in 1952.
