Strychnine use for gopher control officially begins in Alberta, Saskatchewan after delays

After significant delays, the window for strychnine use in Alberta and Saskatchewan is now open. Farmers can use the controversial rodenticide to control Richardson's ground squirrels — colloquially known as gophers — until Sept. 1.
