Don Duguid, a member of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the World Curling Hall of Fame, has died at the age of 90.

Six days after the federal government said only one of Canada’s four submarines is seaworthy, that submarine sank an American warship off Hawaii. HMCS Corner Brook launched a Mark 48 heavyweight torpedo at the decommissioned cruiser USS Mobile Bay on July 12, and the Canadian shot was the one that sank it, CTV News reported . It was Canada’s first submarine at the Rim of the Pacific exercise in 12 years. Capt.
