Ottawa's last supervised drug sites closed in June. So far, overdose deaths haven't spiked

It's been just over one month since Ottawa's last two supervised consumption sites shut down. While there are early reports of increased public drug use, fears of an overdose crisis so far haven't been realized — but the city's public health unit says it's still too early to identify any drug use trends connected to the closures.

The group said it wanted to reaffirm that it's against the pipeline because government has not consulted and co-operated in good faith with the First Nations.
