Workers unsure about new campaign to keep them downtown after hours

The City of Ottawa's new transportation plan includes a communications campaign that aims to get workers to spend more time downtown and spread out when they head home for the day. It comes amid new pressures on the transit network, with federal public servants back in the office four days a week.

The Ottawa Police Service says reports of sexual assaults have increased by almost 24 percent during January to August this year compared to the same time period in 2025.
