Ontario's Superior Court of Justice received the notice of appeal on July 14, with the owners of the former GM site asking the court to issue a ruling.

The deadline to file or withdraw a nomination for the Office of Mayor, City Councillor or School Board Trustee in the 2026 Municipal Elections is Friday, August 21, at 2 pm.
