The City of Ottawa says people whose property has been significantly affected by the flash flooding that followed intense rainfall on July 1 can apply for property tax relief.

The candidate nomination period for the 2026 Municipal Elections has closed. The nomination period began on Friday, May 1, and ended today at 2 pm. 181 candidates were certified, with 10 candidates being elected by acclamation.
