Hundreds of volunteers search for missing Calgary boy

A volunteer army continues to search for a missing Calgary boy who disappeared a week ago. Parker, who is 11, has autism and is non-verbal but according to police has skills to survive, perhaps in a home where the occupants are away on vacation.
Quebec recorded above-average wildfire activity in July, with lightning sparking more than 40 per cent of fires, the province's wildfire protection agency says.

Most Canadians say the federal government should hold on to ownership of the Trans Mountain pipeline corridor, according to a new poll. Data from the Angus Reid Institute found that 54 per cent of Canadians surveyed believe Ottawa should remain as owner of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMX), which runs from Edmonton to the Westridge Marine Terminal in Burnaby, B.C. This is compared to 23 per cent who would sell to the private sector to recoup taxpayer funds.
