Canada's got a grocery competition problem. Are local food hubs the answer?

The Carney government's national food security strategy aims to both empower farmers and reduce consolidation by pledging a 10-year, $1-billion fund to establish as many as 40 local food hubs across the country. While experts acknowledge the proposal could help wrest control from the large grocery chains, some doubt it will lower Canadians' food bills.

A Canadian man who has been wanted since 1991 for allegedly sexually assaulting a child has been arrested by ICE in the United States after 30 years on the run.
