OC Transpo is set to reduce some of its school services this Fall, and the trickle-down effect might have already started. The transit service says they are making the changes ahead of federal workers returning to the office, which could collide with back-to-school season. It also means more than 3,600 Ottawa students will be shifted back to Yellow buses and other modes of student transportation. CFRA's Andrew Pinsent joins us with the details in Hour 4. Activist lawyers are aiming to leverage a recent court ruling to dramatically increase income assistance levels for homeless welfare recipients in Nova Scotia who live only in tents, trailers or their cars. Dalhousie Legal Aid Service has prepared a guide encouraging the homeless to apply for expanded benefits after the court ruled that a Halifax tent dweller was eligible for enhanced income assistance.
