The City of Ottawa will launch a new ad campaign later this Summer to encourage federal public servants to spend more time in the Downtown Core. That is, once their work hours are done for the day. It’s an effort to help alleviate pressure on OC Transpo buses and the O-Train fleet, as well as Ottawa’s roadways. WestJet has already begun parking its aircraft ahead of a possible strike by its flight attendants on Sunday. Because the airline has not yet reached a deal with the union representing its cabin crew, parking the planes “minimizes the risk of stranding guests and aircraft,” the airline said in a news release Friday.
