The volunteer bike rides helping seniors beat isolation

'The right to wind in their hair.' That's the motto of Cycling Without Age, a charitable volunteer group that takes seniors from care facilities on recreational bike rides motto. The goal is to promote recreation and social connection for seniors. Globe health reporter and columnist André Picard recently spent a day riding with the group and saw firsthand how it leaves residents feeling energized and re-invigorated.
Ontario Provincial Police say investigators have discovered a second set of human remains at a Smiths Falls-area property and have identified them as belonging to a man who went missing in the area almost eight years ago.
