A Newfoundland and Labrador provincial court judge has rejected a four-year prison sentence for a man who has pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death, saying the sentence would be too lenient.

Durham regional police said the pilot had left at about 8:30 a.m. Friday and was expected back about an hour later. When he did not arrive, a search began.
