Ontario city declares state of emergency after ‘hurricane’s worth of rain’

The first storm hit St. Catharines on July 21, then another poured rain down on the city from July 27 to 28. The city received a brief reprieve before more rain fell on Aug. 2.

According to the City of Calgary, the water main ruptured around 10 a.m. Saturday which has affected water distribution to around 20 businesses in the Bowness area.
