Climate change made Ontario, N.W.T. fire conditions roughly twice as likely: report

The conditions underlying intense July wildfires were made roughly twice as likely due to human-induced climate change, said a new report published Thursday.
Premier David Eby says a wildfire in B.C.’s South Okanagan region that forced about 20,000 residents to evacuate on Friday moved at an unprecedented speed. He says during a briefing in Penticton that the wildfire’s rapid movement is a new normal.
