Strathcona County, Alta., rolls out snake safety measures after 1,000 snake deaths in 2 years

Strathcona County is implementing new measures to protect plains garter snakes from vehicle traffic. The move comes after more than 1,000 snake deaths were reported in recent years along a seven-kilometre stretch of Range Road 210, between Township Road 530 and Wye Road heading south.
