N.W.T. advocates worry school absence rates will worsen as staff shortages, low funding persist

The territory has seen a decline in attendance since the COVID-19 pandemic, with numbers recently stabilizing, but not recovering to pre-pandemic levels. Some say that as long as there are teacher shortages and low funding, attendance rates will stay low.

Apple changed the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America on the web version of its Apple Maps following U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order renaming the lake.
