N.W.T. advocates worry school absence rates will worsen as staff shortages, low funding persist

The territory has seen a decline in attendance since the COVID-19 pandemic, with numbers recently stabilizing, but not recovering to pre-pandemic levels. Some say that as long as there are teacher shortages and low funding, attendance rates will stay low.
