10 years later, Colten Boushie's family says stereotypes, mistruths still surround his death

10 years after Colten Boushie was shot and killed on a rural Saskatchewan farm, his family says there are few opportunities for healing. With every new article and social media post come hateful comments, often presented by people who are ignorant of the facts surrounding his death.
A Brampton man convicted of firing a gun during the deadly 2023 shooting that killed one person and wounded three others has been sentenced to 10 years and nine months in prison.

Their daughter says they were on a guided pilgrimage in the region of Nepal and haven't been heard from since the morning of Aug. 26.
