Feds tell provinces to get ready to put American booze back on the shelves: sources

The federal government has told the provinces to be ready as soon as possible to put American alcohol back on the shelves in case a tariff deal is reached before U.S. President Donald Trump's latest tariff deadline, according to sources. They also said the federal government doesn't believe a deal is imminent.
The riding has been considered a safe Liberal seat that saw former cabinet minister Jonathan Wilkinson win for a fourth time in the 2025 federal election.
