Jean-Guy Whiteduck will return as chief of Kitigan Zibi Anishinābeg after winning a tight three-way race this past weekend. The Algonquin community also returned five of its six incumbent council members.

Toronto’s leading mayoral candidates have been invited to debate antisemitism next month. Mayor Olivia Chow has not said if she will attend.
