Alberta is considering new measures that would require aspiring truck drivers to have two years of general road experience before obtaining their commercial licence.
Barton will serve as chair for a three-year term on a part-time basis and outgoing chair Karl Tabbakh will remain on the board of Invest in Canada to support the transition.
